I'll probably be checking in and posting at various times throughout the day since it is National Scrapbooking Day! I'm going to be participating in several challenges and will most likely post the results of my scrappy fun in several posts. I already completed 2 layouts yesterday and one this morning. The one I did today is here:
It was for this challenge I did at scrapbook.com... the all day challenge! This challenge was to make a page about WHY you scrapbook. I have several reasons that I highlighted in my journaling.

Scrapbook Layouts
Today I thought that I would share some layouts that I've completed during the month of April. I created quite a few with the mix of challenges and just for fun layouts I've made and I figured that some of you would enjoy a showing of these! The first is a layout I made of myself when I was 9 months old. I've been having a lot of fun experimenting with color and sorting through older pictures of my mom's. I have also been working on some genealogy of both sides of my family tree. So here is the first layout:
Here is another layout that I created for the front page of my family tree scrapbook. I've only made a few layouts for that scrapbook because I have to get to the craft store for a few essential supplies.
That's all for now, but I have decided that I'm going to try to be more consistent with my blogging and I'm going to try to make the blog a more interesting place! Thanks for looking!

Having Fun!!!
Sorry that I haven't posted in a while, but with school-work and all, it has been kind of tough to find time to post. I don't have any pictures today but have been working on a bunch of different projects. I have been getting frustrated with the Dear Jane and my hexagon afghan, so I have been working mostly on cross stitch and hand work. Next time I work on my cross stitch project (a pink lily piece) I will put all of the thread scraps into a glass jar of some sort which stitcher call an ORT jar... this stands for old ragged thread!! Okay I'll post pics another day!

Multitasking
I have this weird little habit of working on many things at one time. Literally. Most of the time when I feel like crafting I take one of those plastic tubs and fill it with around a half dozen projects. I then work back and forth on those projects. Even though this isn't the most practical way to complete projects, this is one way that I won't get bored and give up on any given project. Today I'm just going to share what I did get completed today and a few other works in progress.
First off is my Dear Jane quilt. These first two blocks that I am about to show you were actually already completed. The third I finished today.
Here is the block that I did complete today. I just might have to redo this block when I get more experienced in applique... as you can see, the actual block part is not centered.
Next, I have some coasters. They are double-sided so I just showed you both sides. They need their binding. When these are complete I will link to my ArtFire shop.
Here is the binding that I would like to use, though, as you can see, is not folded yet.
Here are the pieces from SackBoy from the previous post.
And this is what he will look like once he is assembled.
Here is a table runner that I am working on. This too will also be located at my ArtFire shop when it is completed. As you might be able to see, the center is attached on the far left, while the middle is only part-way appliqued down. None of the flowers are down yet.
I am going to be trying to complete a hexagon afghan during the Olympics, so here is my practice block. I am not allowed to use this in the actual afghan, though, because the official starting date is the 12th.
And here are some of my tiniest balls that I am going to be using in the hexagon afghan.
Also, I got a couple beading books from the library and am enjoying both of them. Their titles:
- The Beader's Color Palette and
- The Beader's Guide to Color
They were both written by Margie Deeb and I would highly recommend them both. (Note: Each of these books include color palettes that are beautiful and I am going to be using some of them! Until next time, have fun crafting!

Sewing Sackboy
So I don't really have any pictures of my stuff for this post, but I do have some progress to share with all of you. First of all, I finished all of the four patches that I need for the Confetti quilt. Also, I have been working on a "sackboy" for my brother Brandon. It is from a video game that he loves and I am stitching it out of orange fabric. Here is a picture of what it looks like on the game.
Isn't he cute?! Mine won't look quite like this but it ought to be fairly close. You never REALLY know until it is actually done. The next step for my quilt though, is to cut out 356 squares 2" big. That is a LOT of squares!! I have been sorting through all of my stuff: quilting, knitting, crocheting, beading, scrapbooking and cross stitching... and purging stuff! The reason for this is that I am going to be transferring all of my crafting stuff, excepting yarn arts and cross stitch to a nook separate from my bedroom!! My dad owns his own business and he rents a building and, lucky me, we live very close to the building. I am moving the stuff to a small room over there to make more room in my bedroom. That's all I have for you today but we will see what the future holds!!

"Confetti"
As I said in the previous post, I have been working on a quilt by the name of "Confetti." One of the things that you need to do is to make 179 4-patches out of 2" scrap squares. I have been making these like crazy lately and I have found that the easiest way to make a ton of them is to cut a bunch of squares and then chain piece. So far I have 152 completed 4 patches. Here are some squares and they are magically transformed into...
perfectly stacked and stitched pairs of squares.
They were then finger pressed open and stitched together again. I finished them into somewhere around 40ish patches and that helped with my count. I'll be back with more as soon as I possibly can.

Hey Everyone!!
Hey everybody!! So sorry that I have been missing in action for a while, but I've been crafting plenty and having lots of fun doing so! It's the blogging world that I've probably been missing out on. With school work all the time and babysitting for my parents a lot, I just haven't had time to sit down and blog. So today I've been working a lot on the jewelry aspect of my business, creating new designs, coming up with reasonable prices for them, and lastly, printing some business cards. I just can't explain the excitement I had when I saw these little piece of paper with my name on them. I'm not quite sure why, maybe because I'm hoping for some more sales or even because they look so nice. My dad helped me out with them (he's a graphic designer) and some other time, I will have him make some for Elizabeth. I'm not going to post any pictures today because I haven't really taken any but for a couple days I was working on a quilt I found in a magazine by the name of "Confetti." It uses a ton of 2" scrap squares and I am in complete LOVE with scrap quilts. That is most likely a good thing, though, because I have a lot of them! If you have anything that you would like to buy (a wall hanging, a piece of jewelry or anything of the like) please leave a comment with the details. I just want to make a note that almost everything I post on this blog IS available for sale if you just ask and the only things that are NOT are my scrapbooking pages! So anyways, if there is any craft that you do that you would like to see on my blog, just post a comment, because I am always on the lookout for new crafts to try out. Also, if there is any project that you have been wanting to try, but have been afraid to, just link it in the comments section and I will try it out for you!
